Apply to be a MESA Correspondent to report from the ICTMM 2024 Conference

Would you like to attend the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) Conference for free? Here is your opportunity: Participate in the MESA Correspondents program to report from the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) Conference!

What do you have to do?

MESA is looking for Correspondents to attend and report from the ICTMM 2024 Conference to be held in person in Kuching, Malaysia, from September 19 – 23, 2024.

With the help of some guidelines shared in advance, the MESA Correspondents summarize the presentations and discussions of selected malaria talks in the form of daily summaries and a final report. The summaries and reports are reviewed by senior malaria editors and later published and disseminated via MESA’s channels.

What will you get?

  • Free registration to the ICTMM 2024 Conference, which will take place on September  19 – 23, 2024 in Malaysia.
  • Certificate of participation in the MESA Correspondents program.
  • Priority when offering new opportunities to collaborate with MESA.
  • Visibility. The reports are disseminated through multiple channels: MESA website, social media, MESA newsletter and Malaria World newsletter, among others.
  • Enhancement of your writing skills and improvement of your CV.

How to apply?

The application to become a MESA Correspondent for the conference consists of submitting:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Motivation statement (100-word limit) indicating which areas of malaria you have knowledge of and why you want to be part of the program.
  • Synopsis of one of these videos (200-word limit)

The opportunity to be a correspondent is open to everyone. Researchers, malaria professionals, or students from South East Asia are highly encouraged to apply. Please send applications to mesa@isglobal.org no later than July 5, 2024.

Selected MESA Correspondents will be helped to defray the costs of meeting registration, flights and accommodation. However, meals, ground transportation during the course of the conference will not be covered, and no per diems.
