This poster presents a landscape analysis of current research activities, highlighting the urgent need for a Plasmodium vivax vaccine due to the parasite’s significant public health impact and the increasing prevalence of drug-resistant strains. It underscores that while the ideal vaccine would provide sterile immunity, even a moderately effective vaccine should prevent disease and transmission. Despite the parasite’s complex life cycle, technical challenges, and limited funding, the poster examines the progress of vaccine candidates across various stages of the P. vivax life cycle.
