Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnostics – Use case for routine Genomics

The ASLM Science and Innovation Webinar Series aims to 1) Enhance the skills of laboratory professionals in research and its dissemination.  2) Equip laboratory professionals with the knowledge and utility of emerging technologies and innovations in diagnostic medicine 3) Foster dialogue and collaboration among experts, researchers, and practitioners and 4) Highlight the role of laboratory medicine in addressing global health challenges.  In the recent session on Artificial intelligence(AI) in medical diagnostics, lessons were learnt about- artificial intelligence and potential applications in medical diagnostics; how AI is transforming genomics, including advancements in genome sequencing and variant analysis. Use cases on application of AI in real-world case studies such as pathology, radiology as well as rare diseases and cancer genomics.
