MalariaX: Defeating Malaria from the Genes to the Globe

MalariaX is a free, online course that examines the complexities of the disease to provide learners with a deep understanding of the historical, political, social, and economic contexts in which malaria control, eradication, and elimination efforts unfold.

The curriculum draws from the “Science of Eradication: Malaria,” an annual leadership development course, created by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, Harvard University, and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute. Led by Harvard faculty and experts in the field of malaria, topics covered range from cutting-edge science and technology to applying evidence-based intervention strategies across different disease settings.

Available with transcripts in English and French, faculty instructors guide learners to analyze real-world data, demonstrating effective applications with a focus on the development and implementation of evidence-based intervention strategies for national and local malaria eradication efforts.
