Preventive Therapies for Malaria: A Masterclasses featuring global experts and Tanzania NMCP
The 39th and 40th edition of the masterclass hosted by Fredros Okumu from Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) and Nana Aba Williams from MESA features Profs. David Schellenberg, Umberto D’Alessandro, Dorothy Achu, Jean Louis Ndiaye, Corine Karema and Tanzanian NMCP Drs. Samwel Lazaro Nhiga, Abdalah Lusasi, Ally Mohamed, Fabrizio Molteni.
This edition of Masterclass revolves around the science, practice and policies relevant to malaria chemoprevention together with discussion on the lesson learned on the topic from National Malaria Control program (NMCP), Tanzania. They share the results of ongoing and past trials related to chemoprevention in Tanzania to inform the malaria community. Global experts involve in a discourse about the history, ongoing progress being made, new approaches being tried out along with the plan moving forward and the global perspective on everything malaria chemoprevention related.
