GenEpi-BioTrain – Training Materials on Genomic Epidemiology and Public Health Bioinformatics

The training materials in this page were created to be delivered to participants of ECDC’s Genetic Epidemiology and Bioinformatics training programme (GenEpi-BioTrain). It aims to bridge the capacity gaps in the field of bioinformatics by strengthening skills in this area.

The current page contains materials for the course “Bridging the gaps in Bioinformatics”, which will be delivered once a year during the training ptrogramme. The materials are being updated continously, with each iteration of the course.  While the overall course programme has remained largely constant across years, a few modules have only been used in some years; This is indicated with small letters in the module name. 

The course was designed to run by a team of trainers for 10 days. Learners were expected to  dedicate approximately 6.5 hours/day of active learning.
