Zambia ITN/IRS Targeting
Objectives
The main objective of this sub-project under MACEPA IV is to assess how well the microplanning of LLIN and IRS were followed in 2021 and to assess the level of VC coverage achieved within each microstratification unit.
In 2021, Zambia changed its vector control strategy to one that provides either LLINs or IRS without overlap. To accomplish this strategy, a microplanning exercise was carried out to guide the distribution of these vector control tools across the country. The use of such a microplanning strategy has yet to be evaluated.
Observational study design using a cross-sectional household survey to assess LLIN and IRS coverage in comparison to the micro-stratification plan.
