Research on immunosuppressive receptor insertion antibodies and malaria infection prevention and aggravation
Objectives
To conduct an epidemiological survey of malaria patients and residents in Papua province in Indonesia, and examine the relationship between the status of receptor-inserting antibodies and clinical symptoms of malaria.

Rationale and Abstract
Plasmodium falciparum-infected erythrocyte surface antigen RIFIN binds to human inhibitory receptors and suppresses immunity. On the other hand, humans produce antibodies (receptor-inserted antibodies) in which a part of the inhibitory receptor is accidentally inserted, and are thought to protect against protozoan infection. This provides a clinical basis for the development of novel vaccines based on the binding mode of RIFIN and receptor-inserted antibodies or inhibitory receptors.
