Impact of PBO ITN and IRS co-deployment in Sierra Leone
Objectives
The objective of this evaluation is to evaluate the additional impact of indoor residual spraying (IRS) with clothianidin on malaria case incidence and entomological indices of malaria transmission, when deployed in combination with deltamethrin and permethrin-piperonyl butoxide (PBO) insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs). To accomplish this objective, it will compared the change in malaria case incidence and human biting rate (HBR) between the two districts that receive IRS (Bo and Bombali) to two districts without IRS deployment (Karene and Port Loko) within the context of universal PBO ITN distribution in all four districts.
