Impact, feasibility, and acceptability assessment for Boma health Initiative digital tool to guide scale up planning in Aweil South and Center Counties, Northern Bahr El Ghazal, South Sudan

Objectives

This study aims to explore the feasibility, acceptability, effectiveness and impact of digital tool on quality of care in Boma health initiative (BHI) in Aweil South and Centre County, Northern Bahr el Ghazal state, South Sudan, where trained medical professionals are not available.

Specific objectives are:

  1. To assess how effective is the BHI digital tool at improving the correct treatment to diarrhoea, malaria, or pneumonia provided by community health workers among children aged 2-59 months and data reporting quality in South Sudan
  2. To assess the effectiveness of BHI digital tool in improvement of reporting
  3. To assess whether the BHI digital tool improves BHW’s motivation and retention.
  4. To assess the acceptability of the BHI digital tool among stakeholders and the feasibility of scaling up the tool.
  5. To assess the cost of implementing the BHI digital tool under programmatic conditions
