Geospatial applications for the control of tropical infectious diseases in the Asia-Pacific region

Objectives

To develop systems to rapidly map and report new cases of malaria to facilitate effective interventions, building an early warning system for dengue, and predicting high-risk areas for intestinal worms.

Rationale and Abstract

This research program will improve geographical mapping to better prevent, detect, and manage malaria, dengue, and intestinal worms in tropical countries. The research will improve in the prediction, early warning, and rapid response to control and elimination of these diseases.
