Experimental Evaluation of the Residual Efficacy of Sumilarv™2MR, Sumilarv™0.5G, and VectoBac® WDG on Anopheles stephensi larvae in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia
Objectives
The project will answer following questions:
- Can long lasting larvicides be used to reduce An. stephensi larval density in locations where invasive populations have established?
- Which is more effective against An. stephensi in field conditions?
- Which product is longer lasting under semi-controlled conditions?

Rationale and Abstract
This study will assess the residual efficacy, of Sumilarv 2MR, Sumilarv 0.5G, and VectoBac WDG on density of An. stephensi under semi-field container conditions to determine appropriateness and operational feasibility of each product in the context of An. stephensi control in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa region.
