Evaluation of strategies for mass distribution of insecticide treated mosquito nets for malaria control in the context of COVID-19

Objectives

The main goal of the project is to evaluate and review mass ITN distribution strategies in the context of COVID-19, from macroplanning through to implementation and post distribution activities, with documentation of processes, decision-making, challenges, successes, outcomes and costs, including recommendations for future activities.

Specific objectives of this project are to:

  1. Assess campaign modifications and adaptations to the COVID-19 context, including electronic versus paper-based data collection, to identify strengths, challenges, outcomes and costs of different approaches and models and develop recommendations for future activities; and
  2. Document experiences and campaign outcomes for the integration of ITN distribution with SMC to identify strengths, challenges, outcomes and costs and develop recommendations for future activities.
