Interventions for the Elimination and Prevention of Re-Establishment of Malaria

Commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO), collaborative teams from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and MESA conducted a comprehensive review of the available literature on interventions and strategies for the final phase of malaria elimination and the prevention of re-establishment. Selected studies were synthesized into systematic reviews featured in this supplement. The WHO Malaria Elimination Guideline Development Group used the findings to develop and update recommendations for malaria elimination strategies, published in June 2022.
