WHO Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) meeting report: October 2024

On 1–3 October 2024, the WHO Malaria Policy Advisory Group (MPAG) convened for its 26th meeting to review updates and progress, and to provide guidance on thematic areas of work by the Global Malaria Programme. The meeting focused on the following topics:
- subnational tailoring of malaria interventions and strategies;
- the Global Fund quality assurance policy for vector control products;
- the High burden to high impact (HBHI) approach;
- the roll-out of the malaria vaccine; drug resistance (multiple first-line therapies, as well as surveillance and coordination in Africa);
- the prevention of re-establishment of malaria transmission; and capacity-building.
