Integration of molecular surveillance to eliminate P. falciparum in Brazil Vigia-falciparum project

The project will develop a molecular surveillance tool for P. falciparum malaria to monitor resistance to antimalarials, especially artemisinin derivatives, and monitor the presence of deletions of genes used for rapid diagnostic tests. The incorporation of genomic data into an easy-to-understand platform for SUS managers that will support actions to eliminate malaria is part of the success of the initiative.
