Evaluation and characterization of the potential antimalarial activity of natural products from the state of Mato Grosso
Objectives
*Original title in Portuguese: Avaliação e caracterização da potencial atividade antimalárica de produtos naturais do estado do Mato Grosso
With the aim of developing new drugs against malaria, this project intends to conduct a study, using the platform methodology, to seek and characterize new bioproducts from the flora and fauna of the Amazon and Cerrado biomes that have activity against Plasmodia.

Rationale and Abstract
The resistance of malaria parasites to the main antimalarials is still the main problem in the control of human malaria. This situation generates a need to develop new antimalarials as well as assays that accelerate the screening process for new drugs.
