Optimizing a nanopore-based assay for malaria resistance markers (NOMADS)

Objectives

This project aims at:

  1. Production of an optimized malaria drug resistance assay using nanopore sequencing;
  2. Build local sequencing capacity;
  3. Deploy sequencing for national molecular malaria surveillance; and 
  4. Utilizing whole genome sequencing to enhance and augment our understanding of COVD-19 transmission in Zambia.
