Continent-wide Community Case Management Benchmarking Analysis
Objectives
The main objective of this sub-project is to use publically available data to determine a baseline need for CCM coverage/saturation across sub-Saharan Africa, based on population distributions, disease burden, and community health worker capacity.
Community case management (CCM) is a vital intervention for improving access to malaria treatment, especially for rural communities with low access to traditional health facilities. This project aims to establish benchmarked baselines for CCM needs across sub-Sarahan Africa, with a focus on accessing treatment for malaria.
This study will use open source data from World Pop, Google Earth Engine, and Malaria Atlas Project, as well as CHW reporting data in DHIS2.
