Equipping countries for evidence-based malaria intervention strategies
Objectives
To support countries to tailor malaria intervention strategies through use of innovative entomological, high-risk population, and molecular surveillance methods.

Allison Tatarsky and Jennifer Smith are Co-Principal Investigators of this project. Allison Tatarsky oversees approximately 50% of the funding allocated mainly for entomological surveillance, while Jennifer Smith manages the remaining 50% dedicated to the molecular surveillance component of the project.
This grant supports Malaria Elimination Initiative (MEI) staff and faculty at UCSF to provide technical assistance, capacity strengthening, and applied research on entomological, high-risk population, and molecular surveillance with ministries of health to guide targeting and tailoring of malaria strategies.
