Exploration of new efficient targeting molecules for nanovector-mediated antimalarial drug delivery (NANOMALNET)
Objectives
The main objective of this project is the development of new specific targeting agents of varied chemical nature adequate for the functionalization of both liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles engineered for the delivery of their antimalarial drug cargo to Plasmodium-infected red blood cells, with a special emphasis on molecules sufficiently small and non-immunogenic that could be adequate for oral intake.
